Love of Scuba Diving—The largest percentage of
those who become PADI Dive masters and Scuba Instructors say that
they did so simply because they love scuba diving. PADI Dive masters
and Instructors are people who get turned on to scuba diving and
want to keep actively involved in it.
Opportunity to Teach—PADI Dive masters and
Instructors cite their number two reason for becoming a scuba dive
instructor or Dive master is because diving inspires them so
much that they can’t wait to pass it on. Realizing that diving
changed their lives for the better, PADI Scuba Instructors relive this
transformation process through their students every time they
teach scuba.
Lifestyle—People who become instructors
generally prefer active, healthy lifestyles. In addition to
scuba diving, most also swim, run, bicycle, ski, or participate in
fitness programs.
Self
Improvement—Many PADI Instructors and Dive masters rate
self improvement high on the list of reasons for
becoming an Scuba instructor.

Enjoy Outdoor Activities—The PADI Instructor
Dive Master demographic shows that people who teach diving also
love other water-related activities (swimming, waterskiing,
sailing, boating) and anything that gets them to the great
outdoors.

be more than a recreational endeavour and are interested in

PADI Dive master rating is an essential step in the process.
If there is a common
characteristic of what a dive master is, responsibility, is the
most accurate term. No single word so adequately defines what a
dive master is and how a dive master is perceived.

responsible for people, responsible for planning, responsible
for orientation, and at some time, responsible for nearly every
aspect of safe scuba diving. A world of adventure awaits all those who
